The Greyfield apiaries are located in our garden, as well as farther north on the island, where the bees help pollinate the various crops and fruit trees. Our bees also forage on the native flora of Cumberland Island - red maple, saw palmetto, gallberry, and cabbage palmetto.
Greyfield’s honey ranges through the seasons from a light golden to a darker robust amber, with complex flavors including citrus, malt, floral and earthy tones.
It tastes bright, clean, and occasionally slightly grassy.
